But those who connect their Spotify account can select which of their top artists to tout on their profile, and thus see what artists they have in common with each potential match. The last thing a music aficionado wants is to identify with a wildly inaccurate list of top artists on their profile. If Spotify wants to be taken seriously as a medium for music streaming and sharing, accuracy should be a priority.
